About KV-2 Heavy Tank set
This KV-2 Heavy Tank release uses 2,100 compatible bricks with tooling distinct from set 97005—same towering 152 mm turret myth, new panel map for ages 10+. Eco-friendly ABS keeps the centre of gravity low enough for display. Soviet collectors often want both SKUs to compare mould evolution. The finished model still dwarfs German mediums, making it a mandatory Eastern Front punctuation mark.
Historical background
Production ended in 1941 after roughly 330 vehicles; survivors were scrapped or captured as curiosities. German troops initially overestimated KV-2 numbers because each sighting seemed unique. Today two philosophies compete in brick form: documentary accuracy versus playable robustness. Either way, the KV-2 remains a lesson in how appearance shapes battlefield intelligence.
