History of the Tiger II

The Tiger II, officially designated Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, was Germany's final heavy tank developed during the Second World War. Entering production in 1944, it combined the thick armor of the Tiger I with the highly sloped armor concept introduced on the Panther, creating one of the most heavily protected armored vehicles of its era.

Powered by the legendary 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 gun, the Tiger II possessed exceptional long-range firepower capable of destroying virtually every Allied tank before coming within effective return-fire distance.
