About USS Enterprise CV-6 set
USS Enterprise CV-6 is a large-scale brick-built set dedicated to one of the most famous aircraft carriers in naval history. With 4,269+ pieces and a 1:300 scale, the set combines an impressive display size with a high level of construction detail, making it particularly appealing to collectors of naval and military-themed brick sets.
The set reproduces the characteristic appearance of the Yorktown-class aircraft carrier, including its long flight deck, island superstructure, hull, deck equipment, aircraft, antennas, and numerous small structural details. The extensive use of precision pieces gives the completed carrier a highly detailed appearance, especially across the flight deck and upper structures.
A major highlight is the modular construction system. Major sections can be separated during assembly, providing easier access to the interior structure and making the large set more manageable to build. The detailed upper deck and hull construction create a strong sense of depth, while the included aircraft add scale and visual character to the carrier's flight deck.
The finished set is designed primarily as a premium display piece. It is presented on a dedicated display stand with an identification plaque, while the long, low silhouette of the carrier makes it particularly effective as a centerpiece in a military, naval, or aircraft collection.
With a length of approximately 82.7 cm, the USS Enterprise CV-6 is a substantial display set. Its combination of scale, precision construction, historical significance, and extensive detailing makes it one of the most impressive naval sets in the collection.

Historical background
USS Enterprise (CV-6) was a Yorktown-class aircraft carrier of the United States Navy and the seventh U.S. Navy ship to carry the name Enterprise. She was laid down at Newport News Shipbuilding on 16 July 1934, launched on 3 October 1936, and commissioned on 12 May 1938.
Enterprise entered the Second World War as one of the United States' most important Pacific Fleet carriers. On 7 December 1941, while returning to Hawaii from a mission to deliver aircraft to Wake Island, some of her aircraft arrived over Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack and were involved in the initial defense of the naval base.
In June 1942, Enterprise played a central role in the Battle of Midway. Aircraft from the carrier participated in attacks against Japanese carriers, contributing to one of the most important naval victories of the Pacific War. The carrier subsequently remained heavily involved in operations in the Solomon Islands and the Guadalcanal campaign, including the Battle of the Eastern Solomons and the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands.
Enterprise continued to operate extensively throughout the Pacific. Her wartime career included operations around the Gilbert and Marshall Islands, the Marianas, the Philippines, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. The carrier also became an important platform for the development of carrier-based night air operations and radar-equipped aircraft, contributing to the evolution of naval aviation during the war.
By the end of the war, Enterprise had earned 20 battle stars, reflecting her extensive combat service. She was decommissioned in 1947 and ultimately scrapped in the late 1950s after efforts to preserve her as a museum ship were unsuccessful.
Today, USS Enterprise CV-6 remains one of the most recognizable American aircraft carriers of the Second World War and an important subject for naval historians and collectors. Her extensive combat career and role in major Pacific operations make her particularly significant when studying the development of carrier warfare during the conflict.
